Just the beginning...

Quite often we hear the question "what does one of your full-length wedding films look like?".  We decided to post one of our opening sequences to give you an idea of how we like to introduce our feature films.
Enjoy!

Sarah and Rob EXPECTING!

Today I spent some time with Sarah, Rob and Cole their lab x.  Sarah looks fantastic and although it's getting a bit tough to move around she still managed to get into all sorts of poses so I could get some great maternity shots of her and her beautiful belly.  Rob is so attentive and will make a wonderful father... he's already kissing the baby every chance he gets.  I wish you all lots of joy when your bundle of love arrives in January.  Happy Holidays !

All Wrapped Up!

A couple of weeks ago I delivered Greg and Echo's finished DVD to his mom, Susan.  She invited me in to watch the video with her and it was so wonderful to share in the moment.  Over and over it was so apparent that many of the smallest details of her son's wedding day would have been forgotten if not for the video.  I know she especially enjoyed seeing the "behind the scenes" footage that she wasn't able to share in on the big day.  The best part about capturing the "entire" day for us is that we do have the opportunity to re-tell the story of their wedding day from start to finish.  The groom then gets a chance to see his bride getting ready and the bride gets to see her groom and all his guys preparing for the ceremony.  Being able to give moments like this back to family members to hold onto for a lifetime is a feeling that I can not put into words. The day goes by so quickly and so much is missed or forgotten; "thank goodness we have the video" is what we keep hearing!  I'm so glad you love the video, we so loved being there to capture it all.  Wishing you love and happiness for always!

The snow is HERE !

As a mother we dread the seasons changing because it means your children will be asking for new attire (and with 3 girls this means big $$$).  Taylor needed a new winter coat and despite my attempts to try and talk her into something warm and practical she opted for fashion because being cool is everything, right? I can't imagine it will keep her warm in the depths of winter but who am I to know... I'm just a MOM.  I had to take some pics of her, it was actually snowing at the time although you can't see the small flakes in the photos.  She loves her new coat, she loves her mom for giving in!  Keep warm! xo

Newborn Photos

I have had requests to see more newborn photos... here they are!  Cute as a button... I barely remember our girls this small.

Cali's Rockin' Christmas

While I was out celebrating my birthday with Cat and Pam today Brian was busy digging out some Christmas decorations.  Cali has been watching the Christmas Rock Video we put together back in 2004, when she was barely a year old, and has been begging to make one of her very own.  Here it is!  (she gets the head banging from her dad - back in the day Brian was the lead singer of a heavy metal band... the genes are definitely there... lol)  Enjoy!

Jeff & Lindsey In Love !

Today we spent a couple of hours with Jeff and Lindsey down in Niagara Falls.  It was so, so cold and we actually saw the first snow flurries of the season... brrrrrr! From the fish kisses to the playful leaf fight we got a glimpse of how these two really feel about each other and we're so looking forward to shooting their wedding next October. Thanks for a great afternoon you two!

Baby Natalie's 1st Photo Shoot

What a pro in front of the camera!  Little Natalie is just 2 weeks old, 7 pounds of pure love (her excess skin folds that she has to grow into make her even cuter) ... and already has daddy wrapped around her little finger.  I was honoured today to be able to spend an hour with Natalie and her parents - she was awake and alert the entire time, a real natural!

Chris & Stephanie Engagement Shoot

The weather was a little on the chilly side for our photo session but Chris and Stephanie were real troopers. What a gorgeous couple! We had so much scenery in NOTL to choose from that Peter and I had endless ideas for great backdrops. We look forward to shooting your wedding in April 2009. Thanks for coming out to play today we had a blast!

Echo + Greg Oct. 10, 2008

We had a perfect day, an adorable couple and a fabulous setting for Echo and Greg's wedding.  They are so completely head over heels in love and that shone through all day long.  Peter couldn't stop taking photos of these two, even when they weren't posing for the cameras they were always in awe of each other and capturing great candid shots was a breeze.  Their Hightlight Reel will be posted soon.  We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Brittany + Steve = SDE

Our first SDE, we did it!  We had a blast with Brittany and Steve, their wedding party and their family and friends.  The day was absolutely gorgeous!  The ceremony was at St. Thomas the Apostle, a huge, beautiful church in Waterdown. We had the pleasure of working along side Lynn Adams of Caledonia.  Just watching the reactions of Brittany and Steve and all their guests when we surprised them with this same day edit was so rewarding to us.  Thanks again for sharing your special day with us, you guys ROCK!

Apple Picking at Carluke Orchards, Ancaster

Rylie, Cali and I made our annual trek to the apple orchard today.  Unfortunately we're a week too early to pick Mutsus, our favourite variety.  We did come home with 42 pounds of apples though, all crunchy and delicious.  Cali was stung by a wasp right after we finished picking so we had to skip the wagon ride around the orchard, we might have to go back before the end of the month to try again.

Still Motion Workshop - The Evolution from Videographer to Cinematographer

Last Sunday I surprised Brian with an amazing gift for our 7th Anniversary.  Unbeknownst to him I registered him in Still Motion's 3 day workshop coming up in January 2009.  He will spend 3 days with the awesomeness of Patrick, Michael, Konrad, Tony and 11 other very lucky videographers from around the world.  We are always striving to better ourselves, improve our abilities and the quality of our work - and who better to learn from than some of the industry's very best!

Love Story Video Contest ... And the Winners Are !

Congratulations to Lori and Alan who are the winners of our Love Story Video Contest!  We look forward to shooting with you this fall.  They have proven that sometimes love can be a product of coincidence or in their case a whole lot of them strung together.  You can read their full story (contest entry) on our website.

Sylvia + Trevor September 21, 2008

Sylvia & Trevor celebrated their union of marriage at a quaint little chapel in Niagara Falls with only a handful of special guests.  The ceremony was emotional, beautiful and simply perfect! We wish you a lots of happiness and joy in your married life together.
